My giant, strong, unwavering,
evergreen, oak tree stands around
70 metres high and 20 metres wide. Its thick, wise, aged, yet
healthy branches sway quietly and gently, carrying green, fresh,
perfectly shaped foliage. There is busy, coordinated activity from
the animal and insect kingdom, which my tree houses, all living
together in perfect harmony.
Just like an old grandfather soul, the patient, resilient, calm
energy my oak tree emanates, assures me there is never any need to
worry. All really IS well and will always be. It mirrors my own
neglected strength and buoyancy, gently nudging to appropriately rise
above, conquer, let go of or ignore all I see as anxiety and fear
provoking issues. I am reminded I carry all the tools within to
succeed in this quest and to experience serenity. I feel I am to
stand tall, hold my head high and walk forward fearlessly.
I follow the enormous, thick root system, which spreads evenly
away from the sturdy tree trunk, forming a circumference of around 15
metres. The roots above ground are in parts scarred, spotted, freshly
wounded, a little deformed and discolored, however there is no need
to question their strength and reliability.
I dive underground to find extensive feelers, spreading
horizontally and only perhaps half a metre deep. The outgrowth is a
mixture of knots, of overlapping, sometimes free flowing and again
often scarred or uneven and wrinkled: a collaboration and perfect
balance of sorrow and joy, manifested into physical form over the
tree's longevity. I also feel I don't rightly appreciated or
acknowledge the magnificence of my beautiful tree's roots, only
predominantly admiring the tree itself. This dependable, precious
rootstock, after all, feeds my tree and gives it life.
I shine beautiful, emanating light from the heavens to encompass
the roots with the intention to send love, appreciation and
admiration. With this, the amazing underground tentacles glow,
stretch, untangle and straighten right before my eyes, as if
vibrantly waking up to a new day.
I feel re-energised and confident, and most importantly, reminded
I am more than capable of handling anything and everything that comes
my way. My physical tenseness has subsided and I am grounded and
balanced. My worries have not magically disappeared, but I now view
my concerns through fresh eyes and in a different light. I feel
taller and with a new, positive, clear mindset. I am invincible at
this moment and filled with enthusiasm. I send heartfelt thanks to my
beautiful, awe-inspiring, monumental tree.
